The Canterbury Church Shop both celebrates Canterbury’s Christian heritage and seeks to supply residents of the City and visitors alike with Christian gifts and church supplies.

For centuries Canterbury has been a place of pilgrimage and pilgrims have been able to return home with small tokens of their faith and devotion. In our shop and through this website we can reach more people and serve the wider Christian Community.

In June 2013 we relocated, from our original home in Orange Street, to the historic Conquest House, 17 Palace Street, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2DZ. This building has a direct link to the martyrdom of St Thomas Becket, being the place chosen by the four knights who committed the wicked act, as their base in the city. Although over the centuries the building has undergone various changes, the undercroft of the original building remains.

Conquest House provides us with more space for a bigger showroom for our stock, another exciting development has been the opening of our unique cafe. The Pilgrims' Refectory, offers teas, coffee, various soft drinks, sandwiches and cakes.

Why not relax over a coffee and cake in the famous Norman Undercroft, or in our secret walled garden away from the bustle of one of the busiest tourist destinations in England? If you are lucky to be visiting us when the Cathedral bells are ringing remember this building, as it has evolved, has listened to them for near a 1000 years
